Pest Pro, FPMA form
publishing partnership
Florida Pest Pro Magazine and Florida Pest Management
Association (FPMA) in July formed an exclusive publishing
partnership that will include cross-promotion of the
association and the magazine.
A key element of the partnership is FPMA’s designation of
Florida Pest Pro as the official publication of the first-ever
PestExpo in early 2008. PestExpo, to be managed by FPMA, will
be a giant trade show and educational forum open to the entire
pest control industry. Florida Pest Pro personnel will serve
with FPMA representatives and others on the PestExpo
organizing committee. FPMA allied members will receive a
discount on advertising in Florida Pest Pro’s special PestExpo
issue.
Florida Pest Pro and FPMA will promote each other on their
websites (www.flpestpro and www.flpma.org, respectively).
Florida Pest Pro and FPMA officials are working on
additional cross-promotional opportunities as part of the
partnership.
FPMA will continue to publish PCO, the magazine that goes
to all its members.
Florida Pest Pro will continue to publish news of interest
to all segments of Florida’s lawn care and pest control
industries. Florida Pest Pro’s “Sounding Board” column will
continue to publish executive reports from all of the state’s
leading pest control and lawn care associations.
“We see a real need for an industry-wide trade show and
educational forum, and FPMA will be providing that with
PestExpo,” Florida Pest Pro Publisher Mariann Holland said.
“We’re excited about working with FPMA on this outstanding
event.”
Holland added, “We believe our 9,000-plus circulation will
help FPMA achieve its goal of reaching out to the entire
industry.”
“We’ve just enhanced our communications and information
sharing to members and industry in joining with Florida Pest
Pro magazine as FPMA’s official publishing partner,” said FPMA
Immediate Past President David Pomfret. “By working together
on publishing projects related to events and education, we’re
spreading the word about professionalism like never before.”
According to FPMA President Jennifer Leggett, “FPMA is
growing and changing. Through this partnership, we’re opening
doors, reaching more PCOs and LCOs with special inserts of
FPMA’s PCO magazine, and developing publishing opportunities
that will benefit both FPMA members and readers of Florida
Pest Pro magazine. It’s a winning combination for our
industry.”
FPMA’s Pomfret: “We’ve just enhanced our communications and
information sharing to members and industry in joining with
Florida Pest Pro magazine as FPMA’s official publishing
partner.”
Pest Pro’s Holland: “We see a real need for an
industry-wide trade show and educational forum, and FPMA will
be providing that with PestExpo.”
Leggett of FPMA: “It’s a winning combination for our
industry.”
